the Next Chapter...2017

Horse's 'n Dog's 'n Life

'It's a long and winding road that leads us back to...home'

In May 2008 when I returned to Houston (my hometown) from a work assignment in Singapore, I realized that I had no real sense of local community since I'd been traveling for so many years.

It was October of 2008 when I stumbled upon the Cypress Trails website in search of 'riding lessons'.   I was on a horse for the first time in my life and was introduced to an amazing community of equestrians.

In the Winter of 2010 Alaric and I relocated to 7iL Ranch in Cat Spring, TX and became part of an expanded equestrian community.  David and Faye Rezinicek, the owners, Lianne (staff) and Flip (staff husband), became part of our extended family (as well as 'Cowboy', David's blue healer, 'Rudy' the resident pig, the four greeter cats aka rodent police, and new friends from the endurance community.

Since my first introduction to the endurance scene in 2009 I've had the privelege to associate with elite national and international adult and young riders and the most amazing athlete horses not only across America, but around the World.

In the summer of 2012 I attended the 2012 World Endurance Championships held at Euston Park, UK as the US Endurance Team Photographer and, then again in 2013 attended the 2013 Young Rider/JR World Endurance Championships in Tarbes, France.

This was an amazing life experience where I was able to document those rare moments where the spirit of true champions reveals itself during these types of team events.  They all rode for their country.  Team USA.

My deepest appreciation to Chef Emmett Ross, the staff, riders, volunteers and sponsors at those events for memories that will last a lifetime.

And then there's 'Gallagher', my GSD teacher, companion dog and humorist!

Thanks for dropping in for a visit...AND, I'd like to be 'the guy' you choose for all your heart rate monitoring and training system needs!
